In-Situ Instruments

AIS on Alvin Probing Vent
Original AIS DLK SUB I on Alvin
Low Pressure ISEA II
AIS ISEA HPLC on Lander

Deep-Sea In-Situ Instruments

To the left is a history of AIS in-situ instruments. AIS has a selection of new in-situ instruments for the analysis of the most extreme underwater environments.
  • AlS ISEA (in-situ electrochemical instruments)
  • Instruments certified for use on Alvin and Jason
  • Our new electrode systems make it easy to change electrodes between dives
  • Multiple-electrode deployments made easy
  • Communication of all instruments in real time so that appropriate action can be taken while deployed
  • All electrodes waterproof to 5000 meters used on Jason
  • Our DLK-70 instruments have been used on Jason down to 5000M
  • New AIS ISEA/HPLC systems allows for the analysis of cations and anions, in-situ, in real time
AIS ISEA X on Orpheus
DLK MP-1 Deployable
New ISEA X Kit (Model # ISEA-X-FO-Kit)
New DLK MP-1 Kit (Model # MP-1-FO-Kit)

NEW In-Situ Instruments

NEW in-situ instruments for the analysis of the most extreme environments.
  • New AIS ISEA X allows for stand-alone deployments on any submersible, AUV, ROV, etc.
  • The AIS ISEA X allows up to 4 working electrodes to be controlled and accessed sequentially
  • Deployments on the new Orpheus submersible collected unique voltammetric data at depth
  • All AIS ISEA instruments can communicate with the outside world in a variety of ways from basic RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth, etc....
  • Any supply voltage can be used with our instruments, from 48V to 3V DC
  • General specifications underwater systems mentioned: potential range +/- 2 volts or +/- 4 volts, current ranges from 1nA to 250mA or 100nA to 100uA, multiple working electrodes, from 1 to 8, trigger outputs and inputs
  • New patent pending waterproof electrode systems
Low pressure 300 meter housings for all AIS Instruments (Model # LPL-300)
New "patent pending" Low Cost Underwater Electrodes (Model # UWE-1-Kit)
DLK MP-1 Weather-Proof housing with Water-proof electrodes (Model # WT-DLK-MP-1)
DLK WellStat-1 (Model # DLK WS-1.1)

Other Field Instruments and Accessories

AIS has a complete selection of in-situ accessories that will allow for the configuration of any deployment task at hand
  • All ISEA instruments, including the DLK-70 and the DLK-OBS-1, are made for deployment in some of the most extreme environments
  • New patent pending waterproof electrode systems
  • New see-through housings good to 300 meters for all our benchtop instruments including the DLK-70 and the DLK-OBS-1
  • New waterproof / weather tight housings for shallow deployments
  • Long battery life packs available
  • New flow cell systems
  • Ask about our custom options for any environment
  • DLK-WS-1 can be deployed into 1" wells for long term monitoring

Analytical Instrument Customization

Any environment on Earth can be accessed with our new electroanalytical instrumentation. From the Arctic to the Antarctic, from the highest mountains to the depths of the ocean, AIS has custom systems to address your every need.
